I have now finished mounting the duct to the hull. At first I fitted the mounting flanges to the duct while it was on the bench. This proved to be the wrong approach as I had all sorts of bother trying to line the duct on the isolation rubbers and get the correct height. So the flange was cut back off and I then mounted it on the rubbers and bolted it to the hull. This approach took care of the slope in the hull and any other differences in the deck level. The duct was then offered back up to the hull and the center height and the alignment of the duct locked in. The joint was then refilled with resin and QCells and glassed over. We now have a good strong joint and the duct has vibration isolation from the hull.
